Subject: [Bioc-devel] Git-Svn bridge will be removed permanently on January 29, 2016

Attention Bioconductor developers,

The deprecated Git-SVN bridge will be removed permanently on Friday, January 29th, 2016.

If your project uses the Git-SVN bridge, you should follow the instructions at

http://www.bioconductor.org/developers/how-to/git-mirrors/

...to migrate to using the Git mirrors instead.

(Alternatively, you can just use SVN to manage your package and don't use Git at all.
Or you can manage the syncing (between git and svn) yourself. There are two ways to do this, one slightly more complex (described at https://github.com/Bioconductor/BiocGithubHelp/wiki/Managing-your-Bioc-code-on-hedgehog-and-github) and a simpler method described at https://github.com/Bioconductor/BiocGithubHelp/wiki/Managing-your-Bioc-code-on-hedgehog-and-github#appendix-i-a-simpler-way .)

If you are not sure if you use the git-svn bridge, you can go to

https://gitsvn.bioconductor.org/list_bridges

and type the name of your package into the Search box. If it does not show up, you are not using the bridge and do not need to take any action.

Thanks,
Dan
