Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately FCS is indeed a binary
standard, so hacking the files to be "correct" is possible but
painful.

I'd also ideally like to avoid creating a heavy version-dependency in
my analysis, as it would make my work much harder to reproduce in the
future.
