[Bioc-devel] How to update R version in terminal?

Dear Sirs,
I want to update R 3.3.1 in terminal in my local mac computer.
I use the following command to install r 3.5.0
brew cask install r-app

and also

brew link --overwrite r


But R --version shows

R version 3.3.1 (2016-06-21) -- "Bug in Your Hair"

Copyright (C) 2016 The R Foundation for Statistical Computing

Platform: x86_64-apple-darwin11.0.0 (64-bit)


Anyone can help me to address this problem?
