Is there an option that would be better and can I get some advice on how I would implement it? Or is there a way to test R on Windows with a different compiler?
sounds ambitious. I don't have much to offer, other than 'using a different compiler' is not an option, and to suggest going for minimal changes (superficial macros rather than whole libraries). Martin
