Hi, Dan. A user asked me a question about the DnaseR package. It appears to have been removed from Bioc? Where would I find that out? What is the behavior of the release/devel pages if a package has been previously removed? Thanks, Sean
[Bioc-devel] Removed packages and package landing pages

Hi Sean, For your first question, you can always look at the release announcement, all the way at the bottom: http://bioconductor.org/news/bioc_3_1_release/. That's a bit hands-on, as you sometimes have to go back several releases to see when it got removed, so hopefully Dan has a more reasonable approach. Jim

Hi, Would be great if the search tool on the upper right corner could be used for that. Unfortunately right now if I search for DnaseR it returns many invalid links. Thanks, H.

Yes, if the landing pages were generated to include information for removed packages, that would be a useful addition. Sean

This is fixed now. As for the other suggestions, it will probably be a while before I can get to new features as I am preoccupied with moving all of bioc's infrastructure from FHCRC into the cloud. Dan
