Note the epihet/blob/master in the link you sent. https://github.com/TheJacksonLaboratory/epihet/blob/master/DESCRIPTION As said before all branches are independent of each other including those on your GitHub. You would need to make the change on your Release_3_12 branch for you to apply the changes with.
