[Bioc-devel] Changing the maintainer of a Bioconductor package

I am the actual maintainer of the package Pirat in Bioconductor. I would like to give this riole to my colleague.

Can you tell me the procedure to do this ?

As you are the current maintainer, we can proceed with this request

If the new maintainer does not currently have a BiocCredentials account we would need to create one.  We would need the email they would want to use for access (or already have access) and their github id.  We will then reach out privately with instructions to active the account.

Once activated,  the new maintainer should test access by updating the DESCRIPTION of the package to provide the maintainer information and a valid version bump.  We use the email in the Description for communication from the organization concerning the package.  We recommend the new maintainer also sign up here on the bioc-devel list and the support site to keep track of any questions or issues that arise with the package.
