I am happy to announce that we are getting really close to the BioC 2.4 release. In order to prepare for this release, all developers *must* refrain from SVN commits between 4 pm and 6 pm PDT - or until further notice. This check-in moratorium is needed because we need to create a branch in SVN to hold the BioC 2.4 code line and your check-ins could inadvertently cause your package to break become the files may not wind up in the SVN repository that you intended it to. Thanks for your help on this matter. Patrick

Thank you for your patience. The BioC 2.4 SVN branch has been made and you may now resume SVN check-ins. The BioC 2.4 software repository can now be found at URL: https://hedgehog.fhcrc.org/bioconductor/branches/RELEASE_2_4/madman/Rpacks/ and the BioC 2.5 development branch can be found at URL: https://hedgehog.fhcrc.org/bioconductor/trunk/madman/Rpacks/ If you have been holding off on checking new code in for fear of breaking the build, you may now safely do so in into the BioC 2.5 trunk. For those needing to fix bugs in the BioC 2.4 version of your package, simply point your check-ins to the BioC 2.4 URL above with the appropriate package name added on to the end. Unless something unforeseen happens, tomorrow we will be sending out an announcement on the BioC 2.4 release to the end-users. Thanks again for all your help in getting your packages ready for this release! Patrick
