[Bioc-devel] INDEX file is not generated automatically

Hi there, I have a beginners question. I'm running into problems with
generating the INDEX file automatically for the library gaga. At first I had
a manually generated INDEX, but got the warning:

* checking whether 'INDEX' is up-to-date ... NO
* use '--force' to overwrite the existing 'INDEX'

Then I deleted the INDEX file, as I thought it would be generated
automatically when doing the R CMD BUILD. But this is not the case: if I
untar the tar.gz created by R CMD BUILD there's no INDEX file.

Does anyone know how to work around this? Am I doing something wrong? I
would greatly appreciate any input!
The only thing you are doing wrong is worrying about having an INDEX 
file in your package. This is automatically generated by R CMD INSTALL.
