update.packages() and parse(text="A B") (PR#966)
This is a known problem with gregmisc already reported to maintainer and fixed on my server (so it will propagate to CRAN shortly). An update to gregmisc is promised shortly. Something similar happens on Unix (which is where I spotted it). I think you need to REMOVE gregmisc to fix it.
