The very first line of stam-Ex.R should be pkgname <- "stam" Is it? If not, I'd like to see the package; could you send me a copy? If it is, then something in one of your examples is messing with it. Do you have any calls to rm() or remove() in your examples? Duncan Murdoch

You need to show us the end of the stam-Ex.Rout file. It will contain the
error message.
