R freezes with text(...., srt = -1e-8) (PR#9347)

This looks like a duplicate of PR#9301, which was fixed a couple of
weeks ago according to this NEWS entry:
o Drawing X11 rotated text was buggy for VERY small (negative)
angle of rotation. Reported by Ben Bolker.
