Perhaps I might avoid wasting your time if I knew where to locate:

just missed it?

But, yes, there is an archive of bugs reports. From  CRAN
  main page (e.g., http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/R/contents.html)
  just follows the 'Bug tracking system' link.
