Hi Deepayan, I see that there are alternatives, I found one my self that works and it's transparent for the user. I don't want to implement solutions that force the user to use lattice methods differently from your implementation. The cleanest solution as you say is to add a data argument to xyplot but I can't do it so I would not propose it.
