R-alpha: help files of base package

Making html index pages for all keywords would be a possibility, but...

It might be better and easier to use a general purpose full texted
search such as the one for S-news at statlib
<http://lib.stat.cmu.edu/s-news>. It is all done with publicly available
programs. It sure would be nice to have that facility for R-help as
well.
