The question is, could this be a permanent fix?
No. It only works for one input file. The quotes were not there for fun! (Also names with spaces in.) We think this may be a perl version problem. Uwe has build 623. I have build 630. Quite a few things malfunctioned with 623 for me under Windows 98. What do you have?
