Cursor UP Arrow Key produces '[A' or something similar backspace produces '[B'. No .Rprofile or .B file created on installation. I've tried creating them but couldn't find out what commands to put in to get previous commands recalled. This didn't happen with version 0.43 under Linux 4.1.
You may need a newer version of the readline library. Current versions of R needs readline-2.1 or better.
