Are you aware that the current release of R for Windows (4.2.0) is unsigned? Do you have any plans to rectify this ?

are working on this but the process of validating the R Foundation for a
code signing certificate is quite bureaucratic.
In the meantime release 4.2.1 will be signed by me (Co-President of the R
Foundation) using a personal certificate issued by Sectigo.

If you can keep me updated on when version 4.2.1 is rereleased with the interim code signing certificate, that would be fantastic

Hmm, sorry to be blunt,  but I think these should really *NOT*
be used anymore (for R versions >= 4.2.0)
as they are not based on the official R sources for Windows, 
AFAIK, and *also* this unofficial version is still building
packages the old way instead of the new one which is documented in e.g.
