There may be a bug in the table command.  
The value of 0 does not appear to show up (at least in this version of R).  
The following is an example:
Gives the following:

blah
  1
100

Doing a summary shows that blah does contain values of 0.
Min. 1st Qu.  Median    Mean 3rd Qu.    Max. 
    0.0     0.0     0.5     0.5     1.0     1.0
