First of all tell us what system you are on. With that information, all we can say is that that is not what is supposed to happen...
True, but we can tell you: This is Linux/Unix not Windows (and not HP either). That silly symbol name suggests that this is the Fortran bug in RH6.2 we have met before. If so, the solution is to compile with gcc-2.95.2.
