I don't understand make very well but
Trying pattern rule with stem `*.[chf]'.
Rejecting impossible implicit dependency
`src/library/mva/src/*.[chf].f'.
Near the end of the following make -d looks a little strange to me. Why does
it
have ".f" after ".[chf]"
That is the bug in GNU make 3.77. Either fix it (as per my last message) or go back to 3.76-1. I had a lot of trouble with this a few weeks' ago.
