I have uploaded to CRAN a port of Roger Koenker's
quantreg (2.0) package for S-plus. Two .zip files:
Quantreg-win Precompiled for windows (wr06..., bdr0631)
Quantreg-gen Only source.
There was some questions on the list about L1 regression, this package
could be used for that, too, but is more general. (the algorithm used
is a generalization of the one from S l1reg)
