Subject: date

I use the date library as thus:
       > library(date)
       > x_c(14132:14150)
       > y_c(1:length(x))
       > plot(x, y, axes= FALSE)
       > axis(2)
       > axis(1, at= pretty(x), labels=
       as.character(as.date(pretty(x))))
       > box()

       Take care though. pretty() can take you outside the limits of
       the data and you may have to play with it.

       I have read in the date, using chron, and plotted a time-series
       of concentration vs date. How do display the date on the
       x-axis?
