Multiple Comparisons

I have used multicomp in S-Plus 2000 to do multiple comparisons and have had difficult time locating whether or not this is availabe in R or one of the add-ons to R.......is it something that is goin to be added in the near future ? or have i missed something in my search ?
The answer depends if you are proposing to contribute a version! There is nothing anything like as comprehensive, as far as I know. multicomp is not part of S, and for fairly obvious reasons the R project is not attempting to clone the work of a commercial organization. If you have S-PLUS 2000, why not use it for this? There are some simple multiple comparison things in R: look at the *pairwise* functions in ctest, for example.
