R-1.6.1 is released
Doug Bates had posted a link a while back, a company selling R on CDROM. Don't remember the name. Would the R Foundation be interested in selling the CD (or subscription of CD) as a mean to raise fund for development? (Sort of like the TeX-live CD, I guess...) Being largely obliged to download by modem, it's not practical for me (and quite possibly for many others) to have the whole of CRAN conveniently to hand; yet I'd dearly like to have it so!
