Has anyone written a stand-in for the S-Plus key function that implements as many of the capabilities as possible using the R legend function? I am seeking an approximate key() that is called the same way as in S-Plus. I am trying to save some work in porting the Hmisc and Design libraries.
There is an explantion in trellis.args (libr.lattice, under developm.)
that
the "key" function is not (yet) implemented. I interpret this, that later versions will include this function.
Yes, but that functionality will be based on grid so will not mix with base R graphics. In other words, the lattice key will only be useful with lattice graphs.
