Compiling R v 1.3.1 under Irix 6.5 on SGI Origin
Hello, I had (and still have) to deal with SGIs and came across the similar error message. I remember going through by setting MAKE=gmake in the config.site file and by replacing the 'make ; make test; make install' on the command line by 'gmake; gmake test; gmake install' (rem: If I remember well, on a SGI the test bit do not go too good... this is (was ?) a reported bug).
