Subject: readSfile (Rstreams)

Hi!

The manual entry for readSfile states:

"Not all S-PLUS objects can be handled in the current version. The most
frequently encountered exceptions are functions and expressions"

I have quite a number of functions writen in Splus for Unix version 3.x
and saved as binary files. It would be quite difficult for me to
find a machine runing that version (*) to make a dump and save to ascii.
Is there any way I could read in R the Splus functions in binary format?

(*)unless the Splus for Unix version could be installed on
a linux machine, any experience on that?

Thanks

Agus
