Error in R_nc4_open
Jeff's point was that R and RStudio are two entirely different things, and if you think it's a problem with RStudio, you should pursue their tech support. If you think it's a problem with R, then you should prepare a reproducible example and submit it to this list, as you've done. I actually think it's neither: I think it's a DAP server error, just as the error message says. If you try to download your grb file directly, you will discover this is true. It's always good practice to break down each part into small steps when trying to solve a problem, so that you can tell where things go wrong. When you use RStudio, the console window is a direct connection to R, which is NOT RStudio... it has a separate installer and a different support group (e.g. this mailing list).
