I have just moved to a new workplace. I saved an R workspace into an ascii file at my old workplace and have ftp'ed it down here. Unfortunately when I try to load the get a message saying that the file is corrupted. It's a big file, but my experience suggests that this normally refers to a problem at the beginning or end of a file, so I thought it might be worth enclosing just the output of "head" and "tail"
Hmm. Did you use binary mode FTP? ..
{there seems to be a carriage return after the last -1}
Or maybe a ctr-Z which is used for EOF on DOS?
