Why are you trying to take the matrix trace of a regression model? (That's the only hit for mtrace on my system at least) Perhaps you mean to use traceback() or, even more useful, options(error = recover) Michael

This is the ``push every possible button until you get a result and to hell with what anything actually means'' approach to statistics.? The probability of getting a *meaningful* result from this approach is close to zero.
