Problems with playwith()

I have no solution, but I have also experienced the same behaviour 
when 'playing with' the latticist GUI in the playwith package:
WinXP; R-2.7.2; GTK 2.12.9.  As a GTK comparison, I have not observed the same 
errors when using rattle GUI.
