Exploratory data analysis on several samples of same population and of different populations

Hi!

Excuse my ignorance but are there commands / packages
for exploratory data 
analysis on

1) several samples of the same population
2) several samples from different populations

which examine the differences, dependencies etc. via
statistical summaries, 
graphs and tests, all with one command?

My particular data is ordinal and non-parametrics are
required.

I know, I could write it myself but I don't want to
reinvent the wheel...
