Emacs & ESS under Windows

RH> This is a nice desription. There are a few small changes I
RH> would like to see. The DOS window you get when starting R
RH> shouldn't be there. I haven't Yet figured out why it is there
    RH> for you.

I think it's related to the Emacs issue below?

RH> Your are referencing the "Emacs" shortcut. Don't use it. It
RH> is better to use the "Runemacs" shortcut. Reason: runemacs
RH> avoids the DOS box when starting emacs. I copy the runemacs
RH> shortcut to my Desktop and to my startup. That way emacs is
RH> always running and I don't have to do anything but turn the
    RH> machine on.

Could someone verify?
