keyboard problems

Hello,

I have just installed R 1.5.1 on a new install of SuSE 8.0.  I am unable 
to use the arrow keys to scroll through commands.  Are there some 
packages that I did not install properly?

Do you mean 'compile' ?

If yes, you should install the 'readline-devel' package and compile
again...
