While with 2 conditions

Hi listers,
I check it out at the messages... But I didn't find how do I use
the while with 2 conditions...
while (a>1 ????? b>1){
a<-2
b<-2
}
Should I use what...

while((a>1)&(b>1)){
  a<-2
  b<-2
}

is the way to combine the two conditions. However, I would not
want to run that particular little program ...
