For example:
myDir <- "some file path"
filenames <- list.files(myDir)
filenames <- filenames[grep("[.]csv", filenames)]
data_names <- gsub("[.]csv", "", filenames)
for(i in 1:length(filenames)) assign(data_names[i], read.csv(file.path(myDir, filenames[i])))
