I agree. If I post a question to the list I often use my university email but I subscribed using my ISP's email. What about applying some filtering rules on the list server? What makes you think the list isn't already filtered? It is, in fact, quite heavily filtered, albeit only with the "taboo" filters that the majordomo listmanager software supports. You should actually have seen several mails that were manually approved by Martin and modified to circumvent the filters. If my own mailbox is something to go by we'd likely have about 30-40 spam messages per day per list if they were unfiltered (quick check of my maildir [the part that isn't specifically filtered into R lists]: last 1000 message numbers goes 3 weeks back; 283 of them are nondeleted, and I generally only delete things that are clearly spam.)
