At 12:13 PM 8/27/2002, Ko-Kang Kevin Wang took a glob of electronic fairy
dust, mushed it together in odd and bizarre ways, and ruminated:

I preordered from Amazon in early July. Despite reports of shipments from
Amazon, Amazon's own customer service people insist the book isn't
available yet. I cancelled my order with Amazon and went over to Barnes &
Noble. There I ordered it and it will ship tomorrow.
Just for fun, I went back to the Amazon site and tried to pre-order the
book again. When I did, the site told me the book would ship on September
15, 2002. Something is definitely amiss at Amazon US right now.
