can i copy the graphics to openoffice?

Why not just plot it twice? Once to x11() and another to png()/jpeg()/postscript() or whatever format you desire. If you don't like the results, don't use the resulting files... ---------------------------------------------------------- SIGSIG -- signature too long (core dumped)
