Overview:

This package contains an Excel Addin to use R from within Microsoft
Excel
on Microsoft Windows platforms.
Features:
---------
Data-transfer both from R to the Excel and vice versa, currently
supporting scalars (booleans, integers, doubles and strings) and
arrays of
these.
R can be called by executing macros "real time", and we also have
worksheet functions calling R as part of Excels automatic
recalculation.
Bugs/unimplemented features:
----------------------------
* COM server sometimes dies unexpectedly, then Excel has to be closed
and restarted.

Installation:

* Install the latest R release (>= R 1.2.3)
* Install the DCOM server for R (>= 0.99.0)
Installing the R-(D)COM Interface is still a little bit tricky
(not yet fully automatic), your really have to read
the instructions carefully.
