How to expand the size limit of a vector?

Hi everybody on this list,

Could somebody please tell me how to expand the size limit of a vector
in R?
In my simulation I get the following error message:

x=kronecker(diag(1,100),matrix(1,100,100))

Error: cannot allocate vector of size 781250 Kb
In addition: Warning message: 
Reached total allocation of 511Mb: see help(memory.size)
