New post to data() function does not load a csv file in 1.3.0 (SOLVED)- a search problem?

Is this as problem or am I missing something important? (the latter is more probable :), but then why the behaviour is different from 1.2.3?)
It only searches in packages in the search path (as the help says). Clearly that must work, or make check would be failing. Sometimes 1.2.3 did not use the right search places.
