Can the list be set-up so that only subscribed members of the list can post?
I'm sure it could, but I would like to note that this causes a number of problems. For example, the address I post from is not the address I'm subscribed from. You can get around this by autowhitelisting and similar,
but I agree. If I post a question to the list I often use my university email but I subscribed using my ISP's email. What about applying some filtering rules on the list server? For example, automatically reject any emails with all capital letters. But then again, the number of spams on this list, in my opinion, is relative fewer than some other mailing lists.
