R for windows read.table()
I think the problem was that my console settings were smaller than the full screen so I was starting R, maximising the console window and once I'd used read.table, the console window went back to the size it was when I started R. I've changed the default settings and it's fine now thankyou. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Prof Brian D Ripley" <ripley at stats.ox.ac.uk> To: "Rachel Merriman" <rachel at stat.auckland.ac.nz> Cc: <r-help at stat.math.ethz.ch> Sent: Thursday, November 09, 2000 11:42 AM Subject: Re: [R] R for windows read.table()

Just wondering if there was a reason why when I use the read.table()

Well, not much we can work on there, but it does not shrink for me, and I've been working on read.table this afternoon and so have used it many times. If you have a reproducible example, can you file a bug report with full details, including your Rconsole settings? As ever, we cannot investigate things we have never seen! -- Brian D.
