matlab to R / 2

However in searching CRAN Package sources as well as StatLib, I did 
not see any routines for creating netCDF from R. At the risk of looking
silly, have I missed them?

It's under src/contrib/devel because it currently only reads, not writes.
The file is netCDF_1.0-1.tar.gz
