configure file?
Robert Scott Hoy writes:
Hi. I am trying to install R on Mac OS X (BSD Unix). In the manual that came with the R package, it says the first step in compiling it is to enter "./configure". When I do this (in the R/lib/R/bin directory), I get the message "./configure: Command not found". I have looked for a "configure" file and also for "configure.in", but I have not found them. Could someone please point me in the right direction? Thanks,
You need to get the *sources* and unpack them. Cd to the directory thus created. This contains configure and friends. -k -.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- r-help mailing list -- Read http://www.ci.tuwien.ac.at/~hornik/R/R-FAQ.html Send "info", "help", or "[un]subscribe" (in the "body", not the subject !)
