checking package dependencies

Dear all,

I seem to be unable to check a source package since I upgraded R to 2.3.0 
(Ubuntu Linux 5.1). I get this:

* checking package dependencies ... ERROR

tools:::.check_package_depends("/home/adi/Work/QCAGUI")

I have even tried with R-patched, same result.
My Renviron does specify the path to the installed packages (and all depending 
packages are installed):

R_LIBS=${R_LIBS-'/home/adi/Installed/R/site-library:/usr/local/lib/R/site-library:/usr/local/lib/R/library'}

Is there something changed about defining R_LIBS?
