acf problem ?

Hi

I'm getting the following error that do not make sense to me, what am 
Idoing wrong ?

 > acf(Recsim[1,], lag.max=1)
Error in acf(Recsim[1, ], lag.max = 1) : 'lag.max' must be at least 1
