problem in installing Rattle in R 2.12.1.0

Hi all,

Please help,

I am getting an error when I try installing rattle.

Error in as.GType(type) : Cannot convert RGtkBuilder to GType

How?  From the sources?  Since you appear to be using Windows 
(unstated), from binary packages?  Which versions, from which 
repositories?

I have already installed
gtk-2.12.9-win32-2? and gtk2-runtime-2.22.0-2010-10-21-ash

Those two conflict: which is first in your path?

Assuming this is current R 2.12.1 (or you should have upgraded first 
according to the posting guide) and 32-bit R on Windows, uninstall 
gtk-2.12.9-win32 and packages RGtk2 and XML and start again.

and restarted R as instructions require.
